Snapseed for Mac
By Google LLC * FREE * ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) * Last updated on September, 2023
The Snapseed app for Mac comes into my workflow as a truly indispensable assistant, very often, I have to prepare images for my blog directly from the phone. For my iPhone 15 it’s the best app for basic edits. The UI is very flexible and intuitive, so it's easy to come up with a pic that will highlight every single detail in it, thus making even the smallest thing crisper.
The application offers a powerful toolbox that has in it all base correction options and advanced editing features too, e.g., healing brushes, super useful in erasing defects or spots on your skin. Second, this application would be of much benefit in a manner that it gets perfectly integrated into the photographic process of my mobile phone.

U-Point technology
This feature is a serious reason for users to download Snapseed for Mac. U-Point technology allows adjusting specific image sections without affecting the rest of the pic. This option has been my handy assistant whenever I need to refine the colors of a specific image area or make a particular object in my landscape photo stand out. It makes editing very fast.
Varied selection of tools and filters
Snapseed boasts a vast selection of tools and filters to satisfy all my editing needs. There is the Healing tool for erasing unwanted objects, and the Structure tool for adding depth and detail – everything I might need to take my landscape pics from vacation to the next level.
Custom settings for almost all tools
This feature gives the user the ability to create and save, particularly for each editing action, possible custom settings that make this product be the top application for enhancing quality in photos. It allows me to edit multiple pics at a go, hence saving time and making sure that my editing style is pretty the same everywhere. Just spend several hours, save the sequence of actions and edit twice faster.
Supports RAW/HEIC files
For a landscape photographer like me, the ability to edit RAW pics preserving their top-level quality is crucial. I was glad to find out that the editor works with RAW files enabling me to retain all the details and colors captured in my photos.
No reliable Mac version on your laptop
As a Mac user, I've had to go through hell and high water to make Google Snapseed function on my computer.
Thanks to emulators and similar programs I’ve managed to do this. The functionality and ease of use that the program offers when running on other platforms are considerably better, so I had to look for Snapseed alternatives.
Usability issues
Although Snapseed is not so complicated to use and I’ve studied Snapseed editing tips to get acquainted with the app, some of the tools are still really difficult to navigate. For me, a selective editing feature has been a real nightmare. I spent hours trying to achieve natural results with it but still did not manage to get the desired outcome. The inability to use some options effectively really frustrates me.
