I decided to download Corel PaintShop Pro X4 because it is an ideal tool for creating visual educational materials & projects. I work as a teacher in a private Art School, so having such a functional and budget-friendly program at my disposal allowed me to teach digital imaging and design concepts more efficiently.
Actually, this program is the most optimal variant for freshers among all the graphic design software I’ve already tried.
I especially like the fact that it combines the ability to create various graphic projects (such as educational brochures) and offers a range of drawing and photo editing tools, which are also often necessary for my teaching activities. In addition, the program supports Photoshop actions, which you can install and use for quick photo processing and fully free.

It lets me give flow to my imagination, as it allows drawing with vector illustration tools and experiment with multiple color palettes, gradients, patterns, and picture tubes to show my students these visual methods.
High cost for students
Although I am a teacher at a private art school, the cost of this program makes it challenging to provide access to all my students, so I needed to look for PaintShop Pro free alternatives. The market offers other similar tools that are more budget-friendly and more suitable for educational purposes
Cluttered UI
The UI of the program is stuffed with buttons, menus, and options that may confuse aspiring users. As a teacher, I’ve noticed that my students are overwhelmed with such an extensive variety of icons and tabs, so they struggle to find the right option.
