Improved brushes and selection tools
The brushes and selection tools got better, so making digital art is a smooth process even for rookie users who don’t have time. Now, when I use the brushes, they move smoothly with my strokes and objects after printing look good as on the screen. Thus, I can create more detailed designs.
Also, with enhanced selection tools in the Corel PaintShop ProX8 Ultimate version, I can select and change specific parts of my designs more easily.
Suitable for editing raster and vector images
Now, I don't need to use different programs for different types of images. I can work with multiple files in a single workspace. For instance, I can mix both raster and vector elements in my designs without any hassle.
Intuitive UI
PaintShop Pro X8 has a very user-friendly interface. Navigating the program and finding specific tools is a no-brainer task. To my mind, this is a terrific program for anybody just starting to work with graphic design software.

Unlike many Corel PaintShop alternatives, this software supports HD 4K monitors. Therefore, I can see my designs very clearly and make the most intricate adjustments like working with hairs or skin.

Spelling errors aren’t highlighted in the Text Wrapping tool
It is really disappointing that spelling errors are omitted within the Text Wrapping feature. This may be a deal-breaker for most designers who are especially in a hurry. To my mind, it is very important to create text content that is error-free and check it before finalizing any design. Unfortunately, it is impossible to do so in Corel PaintShop X8. I have had to proofread each design multiple times manually. This method doesn’t guarantee you’ll receive a fully correct text. Besides, the overall working time expands.
Person/Object Relocate feature is difficult to use
The Person/Object Relocate feature could work better. As a graphic designer, I often need to rearrange and move elements within my designs and I want to do that fast. However, relying on the Person/Object Relocate feature is out of the question. It is rather confusing and takes much time to achieve the desired positioning. Of course, I feel very frustrated when using it.
