Picasa for Mac, a photo management software for Mac, has made a big difference for me and my work. It helps me effectively organize my pics taken from busy city streets and wide-open spaces in South Dakota.
Picasa for Mac sorts my photos into albums automatically, which is useful for someone like me who's always busy and doesn't have a lot of free time. The editing tools are so handy to make quick fixes on my shots of colorful street art in downtown Sioux Falls or stunning sunsets over the Badlands.
But what I like the most is how easy it is to use. The interface is so simple and intuitive. I'm not great with technology, but even I can use it and get professional results.

Cloud backup
The automatic cloud backup feature in Picasa for Mac is amazing. I don't have a reason to stress because I know my important photos are safely backed up online. Even if something happens to my Macbook Pro, like it crashes or stops operating, I know my work is safe. I can always come back and keep editing my urban shots depicting the South Dakota charm.
Basic editing for urban photography
Being one of the best photo editing apps for Mac, Picasa for Mac offers its simple tools to edit my urban photos. I can easily change brightness and contrast, crop images and fix red eyes in portraits. These tools make my photos look better and more professional, and they're not complex to use.
Easy sharing options
Sharing my urban photos is super easy using the program. I love using Instagram and X to connect with other urban photographers and share my work. Picasa for Mac helps me do this by letting me email photos to my friends and family, create slideshow movies, and upload pictures to my social media accounts. This feature is really important to me in promoting my works.
Variety of organizing options
In Picasa for Mac, I can make albums, slideshows, and web albums easily. When I share my photos, I can choose how to show them depending on who is looking at them, so if I want to share the images with my Instagram followers or my fellow urban photographers, this free organizing software helps me display my best work in a way that my audience will like.
Lack of integration with iPhoto
Picasa for Mac doesn't sync smoothly with iPhoto, which makes it hard for me to organize and find my photos in both apps. I've sorted my awesome urban shots neatly in Picasa for Mac, but they don't show up in iPhoto, and it's annoying. I always end up transferring photos between the two manually, and it takes up a lot of time.
Compatibility issues with certain versions of Mac OS X
I've had some problems using Picasa on my Mac with the latest version of OS X. It keeps crashing and showing errors, making it hard for me to edit my photos properly. I hope Picasa for Mac will update their software to work better with newer operating systems.
