It now uses GPU to speed up rendering and previews, meaning videos processing is much quicker. The update also enhances 3D editing, so projects can look advanced. It also supports more video formats, making it easier to edit footage from different cameras like DSLRs and AVCHD.

1. Not as fast as Premiere Pro. Even though Vegas Pro 11 uses GPU acceleration to speed the rendering up, it’s still slower than Premiere Pro when working on complex edits or exporting big video projects.
2. Only for Windows. If you use a Mac, you can’t run Vegas Pro 11 because it’s only made for Windows computers.
3. Limited motion graphics. Unlike After Effects, Vegas Pro 11 32-bit doesn’t have advanced motion graphics tools for creating advanced animations. You’ll need extra plug-ins for that.

Shotcut is an open-source and free video editing software with no watermark that is available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Shotcut also comes with pro-grade tools that include multitrack editing, keyframes, and filters.
