Adobe Photoshop Elements 8
By Adobe Systems * from $99.99 * ★★★★☆ (5/5) * Last updated on October, 2010
I downloaded and installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 free for editing my pictures, thus making my product photos of hand-made jewelry look like those taken in a professional studio. Indeed, many features of this software changed the way I used to edit in Instagram.
I actually now like that I can even customize the workspace to exactly suit my editing needs and remove features that I don't use at all. It is very easy to set up the colors, apply filters, and remove fingerprints quite easily and fast.
I have also found out that Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 version works on Windows and Mac OS, which is quite perfect for me because at home I use my MacBook but, in the office, - Lenovo.

Easy to master in 15 min
Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 is very easy to learn even by a total rookie user like me. With many tutorials I’ve found on TikTok, it makes it very easy to know the available tools and their usage since the interface is simple. The tools are easy to find, though, so making my product photos look great with just a few clicks isn't too challenging.
Simple batch organizing
Adobe Photoshop Elements has this cool Auto-Analyzer feature that categorizes and tags the images based on date, subject, and quality, which makes it my best photo editing software for PC. This feature makes it easier for me to find them quickly when I'm working on a few projects at the same time.
Auto-sync feature
The Auto-sync feature in Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 full version lets me sync all my work on different devices, so if I didn't finish something, I could finish anywhere if I had my laptop with me. As a busy product photographer, this has been super handy for me.
Creative tools
The creative tools of this free Adobe software helped me experiment with different effects and filters to elevate my product photography. All the options available have inspired me to push the boundaries of my creativity and create amazing photos.
Difficulty recognizing faces
Unfortunately, the facial recognition system in Photoshop Elements 8 isn't perfect. Although it has improved, I still need to tag faces accurately to help Photoshop Elements find them. Sometimes it doesn't recognize faces at all or misidentify objects, which can be annoying.
Limited options in Guided Edit mode
Guided Edit mode should help with editing, but it might feel too simple if you need more professional tools. If you are a pro retoucher, you might feel like Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 has limited choices or effects to work within this mode, which may leave you feeling frustrated as you can't gain control over your editing process.
