Having worked on the design of printable everything for menus, books, newspapers, and magazines, I never had to regret the day I was supposed to click the link InDesign 2017 download on the official Adobe's site. This version allows creating layouts for plenty of multi-page documents with full control of fonts and formatting, if you want it
Another feature I should not with InDesign 2017 is a broader set of typography settings. It is compatible with OpenType fonts and gives you the possibility to change types, kerning, etc.
The web is also full of InDesign tutorials that can help you learn the software and it can also be easily integrated with other Adobe products like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat, simplifying the process of dealing with different graphics and illustrations.

Simple layout design process
The decision to download InDesign 2017 was instrumental in helping me noticeably streamline all the work related to designing layouts for print. Its user-friendly UI makes it easy to find any feature I need to fine-tune the design and get the result I want in just a few clicks.
In-depth typography feature set
The typography functionality in this desktop publishing software enabled me to have more control over the look of my creations. The wide range of fonts and text parameters allowed me to design publications that look stylish and are easily legible.
Super collaborative functionality
All the collaboration tools included in InDesign 2017 are perfect for publishing teams that are working on complex projects. It allowed me to share designs and edit them with my colleagues in real time, which saves a lot of time and stress in the long run.
Automated page preview updates
The automated preview refresh is incredibly useful when you’re making a lot of edits. I can instantly evaluate how a specific change affected the layout without having to click on “Refresh” manually each time.
Subscription model
In contrast to most InDesign alternatives, this software follows a subscription model, which isn’t optimal for me. The fact that I have to pay for it each month is a bit disappointing and can be a deal-breaker if you don’t need to use the InDesign 2017 version often. A single-time purchase option would be a much better bargain, but Adobe doesn’t provide one.
Unreliable fonts
The most frustrating thing in this 2017 version was finding a few fonts that were unavailable, or even missing; it really put me down. Whenever one of the fonts I need wasn’t found, the software automatically replaced it with another one, which usually leads to formatting problems. That really is where font management can become somewhat of a nightmare and perhaps a bad influence on the final result.
