As a videographer with years of experience who uses advanced tools for working with videos and applies pro-level effects, I used to utilize Adobe Premiere Pro when working on my projects but then realized that it is too expensive for my needs, so I started to use Sony Vegas Pro 17 free of charge.
It comes with a very simple user interface with stylish dark colors and tabs that can be edited as I want. It has the same functions Premiere Pro from Adobe offer but in fact is way much cheaper.
The most amazing feature that I find in this old version of Sony Vegas Pro is that it has collections of presents for all kinds of tasks. I feel this is pretty much a great trick for any amateur filmmaker to step forward for top-level video content, which has advanced tools and features.

No macOS version
Working as a professional videographer, I often use Mac computers when editing my videos. This is why I do not like the fact that there is no Sony Vegas Pro 17 free download link for Mac OS X. Due to this shortcoming, I have to either use a PC with Windows or a different program, which prevents me from solving my tasks more efficiently. Because of this, it’s more difficult for me to work on my projects.
No HEVC support
I guess the most usual codec for video compression is HEVC, but it's just not supported by this 17th version of the program. Because of this fact, using the application gets less comfy for me since I do my projects in this format most of the time. Yes, maybe the latest version has it but it’s not free.
