Advantages

Streamlined UI: Corel DRAW X8 21.1.1.455 comes with a more simplistic and easier to navigate interface. This makes the process of finding and using various tools a lot more intuitive. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced user, you're bound to appreciate how convenient this software has become.

Cutting-edge design functionality: Corel DRAW X8 offers improved pen features, node functionality, and alignment settings. It’s perfect for making vector drawings, logos, and various layouts. The revamped design tools of this free vector graphics software allow you to get pro-level results with minimum effort.

Windows support: Corel DRAW X8 is fully compatible with the newest edition of Windows, providing optimal performance and integration and allowing you to work on complex projects without any freezes or crashes.

Personalized workspaces: Corel DRAW X8 lets you customize the workspace to your liking. You can set the optimal layout for yourself, adjust the shortcuts, and tweak different features to match your workflow. For instance, if you frequently have to add pattern, texture, and shading, you can group all the required tools on your workspace for instant access.

Multi-monitor and 4K resolution support: This edition provides terrific multi-monitor and 4K resolution support, enabling you to work on bigger screens to see more of your project at once in unparalleled quality.

Disadvantages

Steep learning curve: Even though the UI is a lot better, new users might still feel lost trying to figure out some of its more advanced tools. I’d appreciate it if the software included more tutorials in the future.

Subscription model and cost: Similar to most other options, CorelDRAW X8 provides subscription-based and single-time purchase options, which may be too expensive if you don’t need to use this software often. While you can also download CorelDRAW free, the provided functionality in this version is very limited.

What Needs Improvement in Corel DRAW X8

After finishing testing Corel DRAW X8, there are several aspects I’d like the developers to focus on:

1. Mac support: CorelDRAW’s incompatibility with macOS is very disappointing. Releasing a Mac version would help the software reach new users and make it even more versatile.

2. Online collaboration functionality: Many projects require team collaboration, so having some integrated cloud-based features for sharing files and feedback in real time would be greatly appreciated.

3. Saved projects are compatible with other software: Even though Corel DRAW is compatible with a wide range of file formats, improving its compatibility with Adobe products (like Illustrator and Photoshop) would simplify the task of including this software in the workflow of a professional graphic designer who constantly has to navigate between different solutions.
