AppleWorks is a spreadsheet application that is developed by Rupert Lissner, who worked at the Research Systems Ltd. in Auckland, New Zealand. Description AppleWorks is an integrated word processor, spreadsheet, and database. It was designed by Rupert Lissner for the Apple Computer system, originally only for the Apple II system and later released for the Macintosh computer system. AppleWorks is one of the first spreadsheet applications available for personal computers.
The primary purpose of the program is to allow users to enter text into cells of the worksheet and then automatically fill in the cell when the mouse is moved over the selected cell. When this occurs the displayed information will appear in a different color than the text in the cell. This type of program can be very useful because you can easily create a graphic image with the cells of the worksheet by creating a text box and then making changes to the cells of the graphic image.
