I understand the temptation to download a Sony Vegas Pro 17 crack. It really seems very attractive to save some cash and get professional software for free. However, I am firmly convinced that using exclusively an official version of the program is the best decision from many perspectives.
First, using a cracked version of any program is against the law. By doing so, you are violating copyright laws. One has to respect the effort which the developers put into building these programs. Old version’s plugins don’t work
Some of my old video FX plug-ins for some reason don't work properly in Sony Vegas Pro 17. Sometimes I have to use these plugs to produce my gaming content. The software now handles its plugins in a way that could cause an issue with compatibility, meaning I would need to either update them or search for alternative plugins which may not offer the same features but bring me more spending.
Performance inconvenience
Comparing Sony Vegas vs Adobe Premiere, I must add that Vegas Pro could be quite slow and laggy sometimes, especially while working with large gaming footage files or when I apply complex effects. That would hamper my editing process a lot. Usually, rendering and previewing edits take quite a long time, which negatively affects my workflow pace and similarly reflects on the effectiveness of content creation in general. And it will be even worse if you use the Sony Vegas Pro 17 crack.
