By Adobe Systems *FREE* ★★★★★ (5/5) * Last updated on December 2022
Adobe Acrobat Reader for Windows 8 is a lifesaver for every e-book lover and casual home user like me. With its elementary interface and basic functionality, fulfilling personal tasks has become a breeze. It allows viewing, filling forms, and printing PDFs in a click or two.
What is more, it is compatible with me old Windows 8 operating system, so it runs on my gadget without a hitch. This free Adobe software is my favorite tool for both doing personal chores—reading detectives and science fiction— and official ones too, such as filling up forms and printing out important documents.

Easy-to-navigate design
Many users are looking to download Adobe PDF Reader for Windows 8 for free because of its sleek and easily navigable interface. What I appreciate as an amateur is the ability to quickly arrange the toolbars and shortcuts, which makes opening and moving through e-books as easy as opening and flipping through ordinary books.
Access to PDFs with ease
I use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open detective and sci-fi e-books in PDF format, and the process is very simple. Besides, the software supports different formats of documents allowing me to be flexible in reading different e-books.
Easy sharing of documents
Sharing documents with friends and family is a no-brainer with Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can share PDF files online and get a notification when the receiver opens them and comments on them, which is especially useful when discussing a book with someone else.
Document engagement tracking
Tracking document engagement when performing private tasks is not useful, but it could help improve productivity when working in a team. This feature is an added layer of functionality in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Limited editing capabilities
Limited editing toolkit is what makes users look for Adobe Reader alternatives. So, tweaking a file, especially in a pirated version of the program, can become an ordeal. Such simple actions like filling in forms, or making small changes get on my nerves.
It is expensive
Adobe Reader is a little too costly for a home user like me. Paying extra for a full version combined with a subscription to cloud services is simply too much for reading an e-book or printing stuff. There are cheaper alternatives that provide the same functionality.
