Winamp has been created by Justin Frankel and Dennis Boldyrev for their business Nullsoft, which they eventually sold to AOL for a whopping $80 million in 1999. The software was later purchased by Radionomy in 2025. You will find that most people who are having trouble downloading Winamp or any other similar music player program are doing so because of viruses. Most viruses do not work on windows.
Winamp is actually an all in one music player, or media player as some people call it. Winamp can be used as a simple audio player. The reason why many people use this kind of music player is that you can have it in your car stereo system. If you have a CD player or a DVD player, then Winamp is what you need. It also comes in a compact disk format so you can have it on your computer. Winamp can play almost every kind of sound that you would hear on the internet as well.
