It is better to choose dual-band models, which distribute WiFi networks in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. Internet speed via WiFi in the 5GHz band is higher, but the range of the wireless network at 5GHz is shorter. At 2.4GHz, the range is excellent, but there is a lot of interference, so the speed drops.
Therefore, choose models with dual-band support, especially if you have a speed higher than 100 Mbps and a lot of neighboring WiFi networks. In this case, only such a device can provide good speed. A single-band device won’t cope with it.
