Netscape Navigator (also called NetScape Navigator) was a proprietary web browser, first released in 1990, and the pioneer browser of the Netscape group, in terms of use percentage in the early 1990s, but eventually nearly losing that popularity as the years went by and with the introduction of other browsers. As an open source web browser it can be compared to Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari, however it does not have as many features and capabilities as those two browsers, and has also been criticized for many of them. Despite this Netscape Navigator still enjoys a considerable amount of popularity with millions of users all over the world.
Netscape Navigator is an internet explorer (the top web browser) made by Netscape Communications Corporation. It is an open source web browser based on the technologies which are the X Window System and the Gecko rendering engine, which are developed by Mozilla. Despite having fewer features than some other comparable browsers, it still manages to provide a decent browsing experience with high quality graphics and navigational abilities. Even though it used to be more efficient than other web browsers, it is no longer as efficient today.
