LineIn is a simple program designed to aid you playthrough audio files captured on your own computer. By double clicking on the icon labelled "LineIn", or by clicking on the small" iTunes" icon in the system tray you are prompted to insert a blank USB drive or other media device of choice into your computer's USB port. Once this is completed, you will be prompted to configure your music player with the options you desire. From the main linein window you are able to select the various output and input devices from the drop down menus, then click the Pass through button placed above to begin the transfer.
The play function allows you to select and start playing audio files directly from your computer hard drive, this function is great for recording purposes as well, because once your file records, it can be played right away by loading it straight onto your LineIn, or into another audio editing programme. It is recommended that you use the "Live" option if you want to view the recording in real time. If you do use the "Live" option, then you will also be able to preview the recording, although this feature is not always available.
