GlassWire allows controlling and auditing the network activities of the devices that are used by me. It helps to get information about the used data, bandwidth, applications, or processes with which the used networks are reached. This software is especially useful for me as an ordinal user who use a free VPN as it allows me to track my stats easily.
I appreciate GlassWire bringing to light the hosts that my applications connect to, because I value my privacy first. After following the GlassWire download link and installing this software, it started to notify me about probably suspicious activity connected to my network thanks to which I can correct everything in 2 clicks.

Threat detection
GlassWire's threat detection feature is especially helpful not only for casual users who are more concerned about privacy issues but also for gamers who would like to fully maximize the benefits of their network. As I am a casual user, this feature has helped me identify any potential spyware or data-hogging apps that may compromise my privacy. It gives me peace that my personal information is protected. I enjoy playing games and often use a VPN for gaming, so there are times when my network lags due to specific applications taking too much bandwidth.
Real-time traffic monitoring
This feature lets privacy-concerned gamers and casual users enjoy the benefits of monitoring network activity in real time.
For a casual user who wants to monitor the network activity, it is an excellent experience. You can download GlassWire free of charge to monitor your data usage and detect any suspicious or unauthorized connection. As I also like gaming, utilizing the network performance monitoring tool while I play games is pretty useful. It helps me find spikes or drops in network activities that may affect my gaming experiences and optimize the settings accordingly.
Tracking bandwidth usage
Bandwidth tracking is among the essential things that a gamer like me can never do without. It enables me to analyze my bandwidth usage to fence off surprises and optimize network performance. After clicking the GlassWire app download link and installing this software, I started to keep track of the bandwidth usage and stay within my data cap. It further helps me identify the particular apps using excessive amounts of the data thus letting me find possible solutions for slowing them down or finding alternatives. This improves my gaming experience.
Tracking a lot of servers
Because I'm a gamer, I connect multiple gaming consoles, PCs, and streaming devices to the network at the same time.
Thanks to it, I discovered how to monitor many devices from one, central location, which saved me hours.
This allows me effectively to administer the network performance and access the information of all my devices without physically manning them. This is priceless to any IT professional and service provider who has many devices and networks to manage.
Not quite user-friendly
In my opinion, GlassWire is not a user-friendly application at all since it is difficult to understand and navigate for casual users who have never used networking monitoring tools. The amount of information and the graphs can be overwhelming, and it takes time and some effort to grasp it and learn how to make use of it. It would have been more user-friendly with a simplified interface and clearer instructions for beginners.
Unreliable sometimes
Many notifications and alerts keep popping up, which may be disconcerting. More importantly, there have been freezes during the operation of GlassWire, which means that keeping track of network activity is difficult due to occasional glitches. Unlike other Internet booster software it doesn’t allow me to get proper network activity information.
