Affordable and high-quality projectors for projection mapping.
Projectors for projection mapping are usually short-throw devices with a high lumen value, resolution, and contrast. Using them to project onto non-flat surfaces provides a more entertaining experience at corporate or general events in terms of displaying an image. This is like decoration with projector light. Also, it's possible to project on a car or building showing your designs and all sorts of geometric shapes.
As with every step of mapping work, it all comes down to the size of the displayed area. Depending on it, you may need to use multiple devices. However, in most cases, one projector is enough.
If you're on a tight budget, it's better to buy a used but robust model rather than a cheap and new one. If there is an LED projector, divide the stated number of lumens by 3 and you’ll get the actual ANSI lumens.
You may take almost any projector for mapping as long as you have good brightness and contrast. Remember to choose a projection ratio according to the size and distance of your subject.
Resolution: 3840 x 2160 | Contrast Ratio: 30,000:1 | Brightness (Lumens): 3000 | Screen size: Up to 300"

You can’t do without projection mapping if you want to show something truly incredible. Resolution plays a significant role in this case.
On the high-end market, there are 4K models, which are claimed to be the best projectors for projection mapping in the majority of scenarios. We recommend them to everyone, but unfortunately, price tags vary a lot. If you can't afford to buy a 4K device, get a 1080p if possible. It offers HD projections and ensures that even miniature details in your work are clearly visible.
The contrast ratio shows the balance between black and white, dark and light colors. This is a feature that many people underestimate, but it may create a completely different viewing experience compared to devices with a poor contrast ratio.
It doesn't have to be 50 000:1, although this will undoubtedly distinguish your work environment from others. However, try to get a projector with 10 000:1 contrast ratio or even higher.
If you plan to carry out projection mapping in dark or barely lit rooms, then choose a projector with a lower contrast ratio. Brightness issues appear when you do 3D mapping in rooms with a lot of light or even outdoors.
A model with over 3000 lumens can display visible images, but you'll have to compromise the quality. 4500 lumens create a very bright image in the sunlight streaming through the windows. This is the option you should turn to if you work in changeable conditions.
Before buying a projector, check the lamp life. Opt for 10 000 to 15 000 hours of projecting. Thus, you will be able to use it for several years.
