Cherry Corporation is an American company, which has been manufacturing keyboards for more than 50 years. They started producing keyboards in 1973, while the company was founded in 1953. The office workers and the typewriters of the 20th century used the old-fashioned ribbon-based typing machines as the keyboard predecessors. The process of typing was not silent at all.
