Corel PaintShop Pro X 5 is a powerful program that comes with an excellent toolset that satisfies my needs as a graphic designer completely. With it, I have no issues correcting or creating logos, banners, posters, and other visual content creation for perfume brands which which I usually collaborate.
I’ve selected this specific program, as it includes drawing, painting, text editing, and layering tools.
For Windows 10 users, this option is really perfect. It is fully compatible with Photoshop files (that I can download for free), meaning that I can take advantage of two pro-level programs for creating eye-grabbing designs and turn all my creative graphic design ideas into life.

As my experience has shown Corel Paintshop Pro X5 Ultimate consumes much power and demands a lot of system resources to function without lags. This decreases the speed of my PC and slows down my workflow especially when dealing with large and complex designs on my tablet or laptop.
Steep learning curve
Although I’ve already used similar graphic design software, the Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X5 version is difficult for me to learn and use. Navigation through its set of features and tools can confuse aspiring users. I was also annoyed with occasional crashes and bugs that disrupted my workflow.
It is worth mentioning that the program supports the installation of actions designed for Photoshop. Sometimes you don’t need to perform complex color grading or white balance adjustment which is usually used for product photos, when it is needed to fix only some issues, and this is where Ps actions will help you a lot.
Applying them in Corel PaintShop Pro X5, you can automatically correct the colors, adjust white balance, add some texture or improve contrast etc.
