A Synapse is a piece of software, which allows PC users to control all their gaming peripherals with a single remote control. In other words, the Synapse is like an interactive remote control for all your gaming gear. Many people are intimidated by this because they don't know what it is and they also fear that it will take away from what they're already used to.
In order to understand what the Synapse is all about, we need to know a little bit about what is happening in the brain. When we think, our brains fire off synapses (connections between neurons), which allow us to create new memories and organize our existing ones. This is actually the basic way that computers work, the same process happens in our minds but it takes on a much more complex form in the computer. We're no longer using real neurons to power our brains, instead we now use synapses which are synapses (connections between neurons) that fire off in a sort of code, much like a video game.
