OBS Studio is an extremely popular open source solution for streaming you gameplay and hence, for broadcasting it out into the internet. OBS Studio allows you to record any video or multi-media file onto a Flash-based player that runs directly on your gaming platform. OBS Studio can also broadcast your game demos to numerous platforms such as YouTube and Twitch, and OBS also makes use of proprietary technology to create screencasts. The biggest draw for OBS Studio is probably its ability to export all recorded media into MP4 files, which can be viewed on any computer with a valid playing software.

obs studio 64 bit download interface

The first time I used OBS Studio, I was a bit skeptical as to whether or not the software would work for what I wanted it for. After running the program on my laptop, I was surprised at how functional it really was. From the very start, I was provided with a comprehensive screen capture wizard that allowed me to start recording in real-time. The layout of the screen capture wizard is straightforward, so that even newbies to screen capture can easily figure out how to begin the process, with little fuss.
