Mailbird is a light weight, desktop email client designed for Windows 7, 8 and 10. This is the latest release of the email application and offers a 'lights-out' interface similar to the one used on OS X Leopard. The Mailbird interface gives the user a 'bird's eye' view of the user's email folders and allows them to easily organize their inbox by category and tag. Mailbird is extremely easy to use, with an intuitive menu structure that guides the user through each function of the software.

To sum up, Mailbird is well equipped to handle both email and task related functionality offered by a webmail client. However, it lacks something that the more popular free email clients do not: IMAP support. IMAP is another feature commonly offered by free email clients and is crucial for a webmail client, as this service supports offline operation. This means another set of people may be accessing your email at the same time, requiring another set of management solutions.
