My Experience

I’ve always believed that web hosting and site-building can be quite simple and accessible for everyone interested when approached the right way. My first attempts in creating user-friendly websites and optimizing hosting began during my studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a degree in Computer Science but helped my friend, photographer, create a portfolio for her from scratch. Early in my career, I worked as a junior web developer at a boutique agency, quickly progressing to managing projects from start to finish.

Now, I’m part of the FixThePhoto company, where I blend my technical skills from university with some creative ideas to help clients enhance their online presence by means of a beautiful portfolio page or blog. No matter I am writing about the best hosting platform, troubleshooting performance issues, or creating intuitive structures, I help to deal with a wide range of challenges.

What I love most is combining my tests and skills with meaningful collaboration to deliver results that exceed expectations of many readers. Outside of work, of course, I enjoy taking photos on my Nikon and spending time jogging in the park.

Technology and Tools I Use

I’ve carefully built a toolkit of hosting providers and site builders after numerous tests and tries to deliver personalized answers for my potential readers. Each platform I use and recommend in my posts has a specific purpose, allowing me to create efficient, scalable, and user-friendly websites for FixThePhoto clients and followers.

To establish an online presence, I prefer showing tutorials on Bluehost as it’s affordable for every new user and easy to setup, a golden middle for beginners and total amateurs. In contrast, for a fast-growing tech startup, I relied on AWS in my posts to control its auto-scaling capabilities, ensuring the site could handle their rapidly increasing traffic seamlessly.

When it comes to building websites, usually my posts are about WordPress. I like this fully customizable platform for all digital creatives and more who just need a simple portfolio or small website page.

For e-commerce sites, I’ve often turned to Shopify as it’s a base everyone should start with. Shopify’s integrated payment gateways and inventory management tools simplifies the process and gives my followers confidence to manage their shop independently. For simpler, design-focused projects for photographers and digital artists, I give preference on showing life-hacks in Wix or Squarespace.

Behind the scenes, I rely on cPanel for efficient server management and often integrate Cloudflare to enhance performance for international followers, especially through its CDN capabilities. Tools like Google Analytics are invaluable for understanding traffic patterns and I try to explain all newbies how to work in it efficiently cause Goole changes everything very fast.

These tools, paired with thoughtful planning and performance, allow me to receive results in websites that meet each client’s unique needs while delivering exceptional results.
